Every year at the Hannover Messe, the industry awards for the most innovative solutions in industry are presented in 14 categories at the beginning of the trade fair.
The Herzogenaurach-based company Artschwager & Kohl Software GmbH was awarded first prize in the Intralogistics & Production Management category for its product ‘LOMAS Gatescanner’.
The industry prize was awarded on 23 April by Prof. O. Braun, President of the ‘Verein Deutscher Ingenieure’ (VDI), with the participation of the relevant trade press at the VDI stand.
The award was accepted by Mr Jürgen Kohl, Managing Director of Artschwager und Kohl Software GmbH and Mrs Sonja Pakalski, in charge of public relations and marketing at Artschwager und Kohl Software GmbH.
The innovative feature of the LOMAS Gate Scanner product is that the software created by Artschwager & Kohl operates the gate scanners without trigger light barriers, allowing LOMAS to check a continuous data stream against the electronic loading order in real time. This eliminates the need for loading personnel to handle trigger light barriers. The loading personnel and the lorry drivers can thus load and unload the lorries continuously with pallets more easily and more quickly.
